Sure, I have upgraded the power supply, put in a new hard drive, and replaced the CPU fan...but those are expenses no different than buying a new oil filter for your car or new tires every 60,000 miles. Bottom line, my 9 year old Dell desktop runs flawlessly and is a testament to what I do and the business I am in.
